Sports fan or not, we all know it: the Super Bowl is the most popular American football game of the year. In order for it to live up to its grandeur more blood, sweat, and tears are put into it's making than you think, but perhaps not by who you think. Before the game commences, there is the Super Bowl ground crew: calloused finger tips, sod-paint laden tee shirts, and all to make it possible. They have the dirty job, they put down the sod for the game, paint the field lines, and set up the goal posts.
These people don't build much of a fan base, but their part is vital to the Super Bowl. The next time you're watching a professional sports game, watching the field, realise the time, effort, and care it took for the field to be suitable for a game, or the bright team colors airbrushed onto the sod. They didn't get there themselves!
